Church Operations

PASTORAL CARE

  • Intercessory Prayer (Acts 6:4; Eph. 6:18)
  • Calling on the Sick

 **Priority will be given to church members. Due to the excessive needs in this area, the senior pastor's primary focus will be on those considered severely ill.

  • Counseling

** Priority will be given to members of the church.  Decisions as to the amount of time and persons to be counseled will be at the discretion of the senior pastor.  The senior pastor will refer people to a licensed counselor as needed.

  •  Officiate Weddings and Funerals

** The senior pastor will have the right to grant or refuse the ceremony of marriage or funerals according to biblical reasons.

SECRETARY

 The KSBC Church/Administrative Board Secretary shall have responsibility for administrating those tasks and functions relevant to the Pastor’s Office on a daily basis, maintaining strict confidentiality, as required.  In addition to handling administrative needs, the Church Secretary:

Coordinates the Pastor’s appointment calendar, to include:

  • Meetings
  • Counseling Sessions
  • Weddings and funerals.
  • Travel arrangements and speaking engagements for the Pastor.

Attend meetings and counseling sessions when requested by the Pastor.

  • Maintain the Pastor’s files (public and confidential).
  • Prepares the Pastor’s correspondence (routine and confidential).
  • Receive/Return telephone calls and emails on behalf of the Pastor and the Church as appropriate.
  • Prepare and edit all manuscripts to be published in the weekly Sunday church bulletin, periodic newsletter, and denominational papers.  

** Coordinates information requests from KSBC sponsored missionaries.

 TRUSTEES

The Trustees serve as managers and supervisors of church property. Trustees will maintain an up to date inventory of all Church property and matters concerning such property.  

The Trustees are responsible for the maintenance program of the church.

  • Cleaning, upkeep and repair of building.
  • Development of policies and regulation regarding the use of various buildings.

Trustees are tasked with the administration of all "for Hire" services provided to the church with the approval of the Administrative Board.
